Who we are
RCCG Living Faith Sunderland is a registered charity in England and Wales (1180182). We are the data controller for personal information collected through this website. Our address is North Bridge Street, Monkwearmouth, Sunderland, Tyne and Wear SR5 1AB.
What data we collect and why
Contact form submissions: name, email, subject, and message. Lawful basis: legitimate interest (responding to enquiries).
Prayer request submissions: name, email, and prayer request content. This includes special category data (religious beliefs and potentially health information). Lawful basis: explicit consent (Article 9(2)(a) GDPR). Your prayer request is shared only with our pastoral team.
Visitor notification form: name, email, and planned visit date. Lawful basis: consent. Used to alert our welcome team so they can greet you.
Volunteer signup form: name, email, phone, and ministry interest areas. Lawful basis: consent. Used to connect you with ministry coordinators.
Analytics data: page views, traffic sources, and site usage. Collected via Google Analytics 4. Lawful basis: consent (collected via our cookie consent banner).

How we store and protect your data
Personal data is stored securely and accessed only by authorised church staff. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties except as described above.
How long we keep your data
- Contact form submissions: 12 months, then deleted
- Prayer requests: 6 months, then deleted
- Visitor notification data: 3 months after the planned visit date, then deleted
- Volunteer interest data: until you ask us to remove it, or 24 months if no activity
- Analytics data: as configured by our analytics provider
Your rights
Under UK GDPR, you have the right to:
- Access a copy of your personal data
- Have inaccurate data corrected
- Have your data deleted (right to erasure)
- Restrict or object to processing
- Data portability
- Withdraw consent at any time
